In Plank Bed the intention is no longer moral or political but simply theatrical-aesthetic: this is the artwork for a society that is "neobaroque", in which the levels of high and low are destructured and displayed in "in vitro". "In vitro" is one of the conditions in which contemporary art is plunged along with all its searching for new bodies and new landscape. It is here that we find the awareness of how we transform the body and modify the environment, for we know where tomorrow's artistic frontiers and those of life and death will be, that are at the heart of Vedovamazzei's work
