Ticket To The Other Side is a performative representation by Zwelethu Mthethwa and Bizzy Bailey negotiating black women’s situation in South African. But this black woman is a construct, impersonated by Bailey, a white male whose race and gender are masked .The significance of Ticket is premised on Mthethwa’s and Bailey’s artistic intent and their underlying irony as a creative strategy to mobilize reflective criticality: to illuminate issues of both male and racial complacency, complicity and paradoxes
